The Nissan Murano was the brand’s very first crossover SUV available here in the United States, having entered production all the way back in 2002 for the 2003 model year. The midsize crossover entered its second generation during the 2009 model year, with its third and current model year following during 2015. For the 2021 model year, the brand’s flagship crossover introduces a few enhancements and upgrades that we’re sure you’ll be excited about here in the Virginia Beach VA area.

The Nissan Murano is powered by a standard 3.5L V6 engine that’s capable of generating up to 260 horsepower alongside 240 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty of power to get up and go, delivering an enjoyable experience each time you slide behind the wheel. The engine is tethered to an equally standard Xtronic transmission, and either a standard front-wheel drive system or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

As for what’s been updated this year, we’re quite pleased that, for the first time, the jampacked Nissan Safety Shield® 360 – which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Sport Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and class-exclusive Rear Automatic Braking – comes standard in the Nissan Murano, which means all four trim levels are equipped with it out the gate.

In addition, Nissan is introducing three new exterior color options – Magnetic Black Pearl, Boulder Gray Pearl and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat – to join six returning colors for a total of nine from which to choose. Finally, the previous model year’s SV Premium Package has been discontinued in favor of the new Special Edition Package, which includes 20” Dark Charcoal Aluminum-alloy wheels, heated front seats, Prima-Tex™-appointed seating, the Intelligent Around View® Monitor and a dual-panel moonroof.
