Charging

Charging your Electric Vehicle is incredibly straightforward, and you can do it without leaving the comfort of your home, making it both convenient and budget-friendly. Currently, there are two types of residential EV chargers available: the Level 1, which uses a standard 120-Volt wall outlet, and the Level 2, which requires a 240-Volt outlet, typically the same kind used for dryers. The Level 1 Charger comes included with every EV, so there's no need for installation. You simply take it home when you purchase your EV and plug it into the wall. This charger provides up to 5 miles of range per hour. In contrast, the Level 2 Charger must be purchased separately and installed by a qualified electrician. It offers an average of 25 miles of range per hour.

Performance

Electric vehicles (EVs) are leaving a lasting impression on the road, and there's no turning back. The future of transportation is here and appears more promising than ever. When it comes to a smooth and noiseless ride, EVs are the preferred choice. When you drive an EV, you can access maximum torque instantaneously, enabling them to accelerate faster than traditional gasoline-powered cars. Another noteworthy feature found in EVs is regenerative braking, which contributes significantly to their overall performance. Regenerative braking harnesses the kinetic energy produced during braking and channels it back into the vehicle's batteries, effectively regenerating power and extending your driving range.

Speaking of range, many EVs can cover distances of 200 to 300 miles on a single charge. Public charging infrastructure is becoming increasingly widespread and accessible, so you need not worry about running out of charge. In Chesapeake, VA, there are 391 charging stations available, with 230 of them being DC fast chargers, ensuring that you have convenient access to charging options.
